Tulsa Housing Down Payment Assistance,
Housing Partners of Tulsa is now offering two different down payment assistance program. City of Tulsa first time homebuyer program which provides down payment assistance. We also offer a county first time homebuyer program which serves Osage, Tulsa, and Creek counties with down payment assistance! Tulsa Housing Authority states it has “plenty of funds!”
The Home Ownership Program is an 8 hour course, divided into: 2 group classes, and 1 individual office appointment:
Orientation: Eligibility requirements, Is Homeownership Right for You, Credit and Budget basics and Who’s who is the Home Buying Process
Homebuyer Workshop: Find the Right Lender, Loan Types, Working with Relators, The Real Estate Contract, Inspections, From Class to Closing, Home Maintenance, Default/Foreclosure Prevention
Financial Evaluation: Review of client’s finances, credit, determination of eligibility for DPA Program, referral to additional services/programs, Individual Action Plan
Area of Assistance: Tulsa County, Creek County & Osage County (some limitations)
Property must not be located in a flood zone (100 year FEMA map)
Assistance is a deferred loan up to 5% of the purchase price not to exceed $5,000, based upon financial need.
HPT is an approved 501(c)(3) nonprofit facilitating a homebuyer program on behalf of a government entity, allowing us to con-tribute to the client’s Minimum Required Investment for FHA. Other loan types are allowable, please contact us with any ques-tions that your lender may have.
